Here is another of my "Skirty Dozen" dirndl skirts that I have introduced you to previously.
This time the skirt is made from a mauve/dusty rose/rust print rayon fabric from (you guessed it) Fabric Mart. It has the most interesting splotchy linear print that really has several more colours in it than I listed above. I really like prints like this - there are so many mix and match possibilities with the other garments in my wardrobe due to all the colours that are present.
I have paired the skirt with a flouncy and ruffly purple sleeveless shell and a dark brown cardigan. Both the cardigan and the top are purchased items.
My shoes are a comfortable pair of bronze wedge sandals from Clarks (I love Clarks shoes!). I also have these in silver - when I find a good pair of shoes, I often by multiples. I can't be the only one that does this, right?
This is my typical uniform for work. It is professional, but not stuffy. Comfortable, but not sloppy. And simple to thrown on - skirt, top, cardi - what could be easier?

I'm really enjoying seeing your skirty dozen in action, Shannon. I took some inspiration from you and, while I may not end up with a dozen, I have made one. A tube gathered on to an elastic waistband - what a great idea, even for slowpoke me !
This is a lovely fabric and a great look for work.
At first glance, I thought that skirt was of ruffly fabric. I had to look really close to see that it's printed and not ruffles. Cute skirt.
Nice-although I too thought the skirt was of some sort of 3D fabric. The ruffled top is awesome, did you make that too?
Beautiful, Shannon. A few minutes ago, I was looking at the two skirts I made recently, inspired by your skirty dozen. Much to my delight, when I opened your blog, there you were sporting another one! My favorite is the one you wear with a turquoise top and coral/red cardi. The beauty of this pattern is that I can easily crop 1.5 inches off the front waist without any effort, so it fits my shape better. Thanks for the inspiration.
How good to see you posting again. Great skirts and I'm not surprised you got a lot of compliments on the dress.
So nice to see you posting again. You have a great sense of style, your prom dress is adorable. Re the weight loss thingy, sympathies from me as I lost 10 and promptly regained it. Keep fighting!
