What's the best way to usher in a new year?
A cozy evening spent with loved ones? A quiet evening of introspection? A booze filled bender of epic proportions?
No, no and ...maybe, um...no.
Browsing a vintage pattern seller's website and then subsequently purchasing four luscious lovelies that make your heart sing and soul shiver?
Yup.
Behold the glory that awaits me in 2010:
Maybe there is a god.

Oh,I love them all!!! Can't wait to see them made up. Sounds like you had a great New Year's!
were we at the same party? i did the same! Although i didn't make a purchase yet--i probably would have if the site had an "add to cart" icon! I was trying to keep straight which ones I liked the most...which was too many!
Absolutely! I just bought a bunch of new ones, too! I can definitely see you in the Vogue, the 3rd from the left.
Oh, oh, yummy!!
(I will not click the link, I will not click the link...)
These are so perfectly you....enjoy and Happy New Year!!
Those are gorgeous! I can't wait to see them made up. I LOVE the look of the vintage patterns, but tend to shy away from them because of all the alterations that I have to make...maybe this year I'll be better about sewing some of mine up.
Good for you! Way to start out a new year!
I love your pattern choices - it looks like you're definitely going to be making some beautiful things in 2010! A very happy New Year to you.
Happy New Year! I hope 2010 is much, much better to you and yours. I love the first one and can't wait to see what you do with it. g
You did good! I think that was a fabulous way to spend the New Year!
I opted for the "cozy evening with loved ones" last night...hey, this is a new day and the website is still there :). The patterns look like you - great choices!
How about square dancing? Actually, that's what my husband did with two of our girls. I opted to stay home with the boys. I snuck a little time looking at patterns; but not too much, because I was supposed to be snuggling with my boys, which we did lots of. Little boys are so cuddly.
Those are some great patterns. Looks like that sewing mojo is coming back.
Here's wishing you a wonderful new year! I look forward to seeing all of your new creations.
Happy New Year and you have a great selection of patterns.
Oh, wanted to mention since your Lacquer Lundi posts, I find that I am changing my nail polish at least 2x a week and being bold with my color choices. Today I am wearing Dream on by Sinful Colors and earlier in the week had on Black on Black by SC.
haha!! We're like separated at birth I tell you. I ordered 5 from an etsy seller on NYE. I can't WAIT. (Then i turned around and bought 6 more this weekend at flea markets.)
Oh - I think I'm in love...and I can think of no finer way to usher in the new year.
All the best for 2010!
I can really see you in all of those - nice picks!
I just found your blog today, and I like it!
I would love to see a picture if you make the black and white dress on the third picture on top. It looks amazing! Although I don't have that tiny waist!
Can't wait to see what you make this year, as well as the nail polish! (I admit that I am a lacquerhead!)
