SWAP Combos - Part 3

In my last two posts, I posted pictures of all the combos possible with the suiting pieces from my SWAP. Today, I want to finish up my SWAP photos with a few pictures of the dresses and the coat. I realize these aren't really combos, but I really love these pieces and I don't want to hurt their feelings by leaving them out of the fun!

Chocolate brown wool crepe dress (M7888)

Yellow silk dupioni dress (S7990)

Beige wool crepe coat (V5630)

That about wraps up the SWAP 2008 photo shoot. I am really pleased with how it all turned out. Now, over the next few weeks, I will be planning out my spring and summer wardrobe - I can't wait!

of course all of it is wonderful, but if we are allowed to have favorites, especially those that come as a surprise to us, I'm going to say my favorite is the red jacket with the red gathered skirt - I just love that look on you. And while the yellow dress is indeed happy and spectacular, the brown dress is just scrumptious.

I just have to ask, how do you manage in a chem lab with your beautiful clothes? And will you come to St Louis to give a bunch of women scientists who work in one of the worlds biggest chemical companies some lessons in personal style? You break the stereotype and the mold Shannon. - That is a good thing!

Hi Shannon, I've been following your work very closely and I love it!! I love how you're taking outfits that you've seen from Jackie and finding just the right patterns and materials to make them - they look just fantastic. I espeically love the chocolate shift dress and the yellow silk dress.

Ah finally the dresses show up - my favorite part of your SWAP! I love both of these interpretations and love how you defined your own style but stayed true to the original designs! Tres magnificent! :)

Thank you for sharing all of the pieces with us...it is a stunning wardrobe. You can tell that you put a lot of time/effort and work into sewing such an amazing group of pieces.

Can't wait to read about your spring/summer sewing plans!

Holy cow! I am absolutely in love with this SWAP. These dresses are stunning (not to mention that coat)!

The colors you chose are perfectly lovely, both by themselves, and on you, and each is incredibly different, but has the same "feel". Just...wow!

Shannon, ditto to all the comments so far, and I must say that the brown a-line is extremely flattering on you. Make more of that style! I have the books you took the inspiration from and you could have been Jackie's personal seamstress without a doubt.

I could spend hours looking at these posts - your SWAP is sooo classy. To buy such clothes as RTW would cost a fortune. Very inspirational!

So beautiful! I particularly love that chocolate brown dress-- the details are just so lovely. And who can forget the terracotta ensemble? Wonderful! You are an inspiration. :)

Yes, it is vitally important that the dresses get their day in the sun too!! The yellow dress is fun but the brown one is gorgeous on you. Great SWAP.

It is too hard to pick a favourite item from your SWAP, how do you decide what to wear every day?
