I have been such a good girl this year - oh, yes I have! I have exercised extreme reserve in my fabric buying habits. In the past few years, I have added around 275 m to my fabric stash, every single year. This year, I am actually on the negative side of things. Can you imagine that? I am sewing down my stash - what a novel concept!
In honour of my super human efforts of the last several months, I decided I needed a reward. And what better reward is there than yards and yards (or metres and metres, as the case may be) of fabric?
I decided that Fabric.com would be the site of my debauchery. The following are the spoils of my fabric feeding frenzy:
All the fabrics are wool or wool blends. The first three fabrics are slated to become super cute jackets, while the last two will grace my lower half as some fa-boo pants. C'mon USPS, hurry up, mama needs a fix!

Oooooo the one with the ruler under it....I don't know what to call it. It's not herringbone, nor is it hounds tooth. Any way jut love it! As soon as I saw it....I though suit :)
I bought the green one (top center) back when fabric.com first listed these VW wools. It is a very soft wool and will need a lot of structure to become a jacket. You did good and I'm sure that when the time is right they will make an appearance in your wardrobe!
As to the negative slide of your stash...I have to admit to being a little jealous. Although I have cut my fabric purchasing back...I'm still accumulating more than I'm sewing. So I have you to look to as a role model in this whole fabric accumulation thing!
Just your colors. I can really see that center green as a terrific jacket on you.
You can be very proud of the self-control you have exhibited this past year. That was quite a feat. These fabrics are very nice.
I'm always on pins & needles waiting for fabric to come to my door!
What self control you have! Good work.
Oh, what fun! Lots of dreams waiting for you.
What's the shipping to Canada like from Fabric.com? I recently almost ordered some fabric from Gorgeous fabrics, but the shipping to Canada cost more than the fabric itself.
Do you know of any Canadian online retailers? I've had questions about this on my blog, but since you've been sewing longer than me, I thought I'd ask you first.

My fav's are #2 & 3. Especially 3, the one with the ruler. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Love Fabric.com.
I have been on somewhat of a fabric diet. My last purchase was in mid August. Love your new fabric purchases.
What better to reward yourself. The spoils are pretty. I guess I'm click myself over the fabric.com to see what spoils I can come up with.
Happy Sewing!
