12-4-12 *Vintage Pattern Picks*

Yesterday, I showed a bunch of modern jacket/coat patterns that are on my short list to be made during the 12-4-12 Jacket Sew-a-long.  Today, I want to send out some vintage pattern love.

Aren't they all just delicious?

That first pattern is identical to some of the jackets I have in my 'inspiration folder'. It's gorgeous! I can't find anything like it in my collection, but I don't own any vintage jacket patterns. Perhaps I should be expanding my collection down those lines.

Gorgeous patterns - I love them all!

I love the coat patterns! They are so timeless. My sister has a wine colored velvet 'swing' type coat that she only wears at Christmas -- so special.

Do you own these pretties? If you do, I am green with envy. I especially love the Vogue 9821! I am thinking about making a jacket with front tie for the vintage sew along but love your long coat version!

I love the jacket with the button on scarf and that last dress is just too adorable!

I'm quite partial to the jacket with the button on scarf, too. I have a nice piece of silk tweed I can see made up in that pattern.

Lovely choices. My favorite is Vogue 9821, the long version with the removable scarf. Just fabulous. I also have McCalls 5336; I love the red view, which I believe is A. I noted two of your contemporary choices for my own short list! Thank you for sharing! Linda

Well, I'm not a big vintage fan, but I'm really diggin' the Butterick 4557 pattern. I have some tan cord that has great potential! The others are lovely as well. I'll be watching with interest what you make, though I won't participate in the 12-4-12.

Vintage patterns just *ooze* sophistication and glamour.
