Lacquer Lundi

In a New York Color Minute - Bryant Park
- purchased at Rexall for $1.39 CDN

As with all the polish I've tried in this inexpensive drug store line, it applied well, covered nicely in two coats and wore well for the two days I had it on.

Admittedly, it's not the most exciting colour, but for anyone that is employed in a conservative work place this is a lovely work friendly colour.

China Glaze - He's Going in Circles
- purchased from Head2Toe Beauty for $3.29 US

Holy peel-y, Batman! That's what I was saying less than 12 hours after doing a manicure with this polish. In all fairness, I believe it was the basecoat worn with this polish that caused the peeling problems. I will re-try this polish at some point with my TNT Sally Hansen Nail Quencher base coat since the colour is so interesting. This light green holographic polish (from China Glaze's Kaleidoscope collection) is definitely worth another try!

In a New York Color Minute - Chinatown

- purchased at Rexall for $1.39 CDN

Mid week I decided to chop my nails down very short - I am trying to grow out a split on one of my fingers and I'm impatient to cut it off. Well, short nails look great in dark colours, so I chose this amazing shimmery dark purple polish.

It applied nicely and covered well in two coats. It was a little bit chippy, but not unreasonably so. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but I have to profess my love for the IANYCM brush - it's wide and flat and super easy to use - it makes application a breeze!

China Glaze - Agent Lavender

- purchased at Sally Beauty Supply for $3.99 CDN

Agent Lavender is from China Glaze's Fall 2008 Operation Color collection. I love this dusty lavender colour - it's just so pretty. I like the way it looks on me, although it would probably look really great on someone with darker skin. However, I still love the springy feel of this polish.

Unfortunately, it is streaky - the first coat was awful, the second coat helped even things out, but I really should have used a third coat to completely eliminate all the "bald spots." Still, despite the application issues, I think this one is a keeper just for the gorgeous colour.

I just added Agent Lavendar to my H2T order. It seems like the chalky cremes are a little dicey, no? I love He's Going in Circles, very pretty. My new theory though is that ChG chips a little easier. Maybe that's just my excuse to try more Misas. BTW, did you do the Rescue Beauty Lounge sale?

I love that lavendar color, too. The dark purple is a bit like the dark blue/purple Sally Hansen I wore on my toes all last summer. I still love it!

I've been following Lacquer Lundi since the beginning and have been inspired. I wore polish yesterday for the first time in months. Unfortunately most of my polish is Revlon and I agree that they clump and are slow-drying. I always thought it was just my lack of nail expertise. I will be going out this week to get others and also the Sally Hansen base and top coats you recommend.

I love nail polish and nice manicures but never achieve them. Until I do, I will continue to get my fill from your posts.
Thanks!
