The Taming of the Arse - Week 14

I am proud to say that I have shaved off a pound this week - for a grand total of nine pounds since New Year's Day.  Not super fast progress by any standard, but I'll take slow progress over no progress any day.

Unfortunately, my eating habits have back slid a bit.  A few too many treats and a bit too much junk food has been consumed lately.  I am still eating mainly healthy meals, however I tend to punctuate them with chocolate far too often these days.  So, it's time to clean up the diet as I go forward.

My hip is still a bit sore, but it is certainly feeling better as of late.

All in all, a good couple of weeks have just past by - here's hoping to better times ahead!

Congratulations on your 1lb loss - as you say something is much better than nothing. I know what you mean about the chocolate, Easter certainly doesn't
help matters.

Hope your hip improves soon.

Woo hoo! That's fantastic and you should be giving yourself mad kudos! Sometimes slow progress is better - it's more sustainable because you form new (good!) habits that you can stick with for the long term.

good for you! I lost 7 pounds in February,,but quickly gained it back in march. Hope to get it off plus 10 more by June. It is a constant battle for me.

Nice to be having a continual loss of weight. It all adds up -- look back a few months to see how far you have come. I lost a little while on vacation ( go figure!) but haven't weighed myself since ;)

Keep on keepin' on! Since last May (5/12/11, to be exact) I've lost 20 lbs. The first few months of changing habits was tough, but it was worth it. You can do it!!!!

Chocolate, so said a recent study, is good for staying slim. In fact, folks who eat it regularly tend to weigh less. So there. Don't beat up on your pretty self.

Good on ya. Increase your fibre intake-it helps move the sugar out of your body before your body turns it to lard. Also, if you have to go for choc go for couverture or >77% cocoa solids (i.e. your body spends more energy breaking it down than it can derive from it). Oh and no more processed stuff (i.e. anything with flour or sucrose/ fructose/ corn syrup in it-because that pretty much instantaneously turns to lard...)
