A colleague of mine has a green thumb. And he employs that green thumb in the pursuit of beautiful daylilies. Luckily, I was able to finagle an invite to go check out his beautiful gardens a few weeks back.
He hybridizes his own daylilies, in pursuit of certain characteristics, like ruffle-edged petals or an intense chartreuse eye.
While visiting, I took about a million and twelve pictures. I thought I'd share a few of my favourites. Enjoy!
To say that his lilies are breathtaking is an understatement. I was lucky enough to secure several plants for my garden at the new house.

Such beauty! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Oh wow I love these pictures! Lilies are my favorite flowers... In the garden outside the house where I grew up (in the archipelago outside Stockholm, Sweden), we have these lovely bright persimmon orange lilies that my grandmother planted in the 1940s.

I wanted to let you know that I told my daughter about your blog because she's in the market for a dog and wanted more information about Vizslas. She just wrote a blog post about 'em: http://lindsey-volleyblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/adorable-dog-friday-dogs-101-videos.html
Absolutely stunning. The colours are amazing. Flower therapy at its best!
