One/One/One One

I'm gonna be honest.  I can't bring myself to do a recap of 2010.  The first six months of the year were some of the most grief stricken times that I have ever lived through and the final six months were some of the most joyous.  Either way, it's just too exhausting to think about.

Did I keep my New Year's Resolutions from last year?  I'm guessing probably not.  I refuse to look them up and find out.

Do I have any resolutions for the year going forward?  Not really.  I'd like to sew an outfit a month and I'd like to start exercising more.  But, other than that, I'm pretty flexible.

I finally feel like I have myself in a positive place and I won't dwell on the past.  My sewing mojo has returned, my fabric buying habit is back in full gear, we're prepping to build our dream house and Hartley keeps me laughing everyday.

Things are good.

I'm so happy for you that 2010 ended so much better than it started! I'm glad you're sewing mojo is back in full swing...and if I could see a pichur or two of a finished garment my world would be complete! *LOL*

Don't feel any obligation for a recap. People can skim through your last year's worth of posts themselves if they're so keen on it. But some years are best forgotten as soon as you can live through them. Here is to the next one :-)!

hahaha..when I read the title of this, all I could think of was "she bought HOW many of the those wools?" That's how out of it I am today. 2011 will be much much better than 2010.

Sometimes looking back is overrated. I'm so glad you are finaly back to this space - I've missed your voice and seeing your garments. You always inspire me to make things I wouldn't otherwise. g

The new year isn't just for reflection, but also for a fresh start! Sometimes it's best to just say sayonara to a rubbish year and focus on making the next one an improvement.

I'll be looking forward to your circle skirt in the plaid! I bought some gorgeous dupioni black watch plaid from FM for a skirt but I'm afraid I don't know what style to make!
