I Want to Believe

Scotland has the Loch Ness Monster, the Pacific Northwest (USA) has Big Foot and Mexico has El Chupacabra.  But, there's a new mythical monster and it's located in SW Ontario.

The Abominable Snow Vizsla

Can you spot him? This is an elusive creature, capable of blending into its surroundings seamlessly.   So, look very closely.

Witnesses are rarely taken seriously.  It seems most observers are lucky to take blurry, dark or half-formed pictures.  Nothing that will allow for serious scientific investigation.

More often than not, the Abominable Snow Vizsla leaves only tracks, as if taunting us.

A lucky few claim to have seen it seen sprinting through the tree cover.

Or shrouded in a swirl of snow.

This truly is is a mystery for the ages.  We may never know if this legendary creature actually exists or if it is just the product of fevered imagination.

Oooo, you are so funny!!! Thanks for bringing an ear-to-ear smile on my face. Just what I needed :0)

I think I see 'it' in the picture or at least a very, very tiny part of it.
'It' 'looks like a friendly 'monster' to me. But you can never tell.....

Oh, this is incredible. I met the distant cousin of this animal at the beach yesterday. I can't be certain, but I'm sure I saw something dashing in and out of the waves ...

I am so happy for you, Shannon, after the grief you suffered, that you now have a creature in your life whom you love and enjoy so much. Makes life worth living, doesn't it?

ahem. I think you forgot "Champ" from Lake Champlain as well (though some people claim that he's really just the remains of a pick up truck that sank through the ice once winter...). There is not a dog on earth who does not love a snow romp. Ours used to just roll and roll. Glad you and your doggy got out!

You always are good for a smile or laugh. One day it's a Snow Vizsla and another day it's a beautiful outfit. Yes, I believe!

Have you thought about getting a second dog? It's definitely more work, but it's also so much fun to see dogs playing together.

the problem is there's no standard reference for size - sure those are trees, but how big *are* the trees? Also, it could be tricks of the light, or the sun reflecting off an unusual type of moss. (Me, I believe)

Have heard that this elusive creature leaves ghost-like wet kisses on the cheeks of its unsuspecting victims... We have a similar phenomena in our neck of the Ontarian woods...
