The Universe Has Spoken

Melody, of Fashionista Fabrics, is having a sale on every fabric on her website - including all the ones I have been drooling over for weeks! So, I took it as a sign from the universe that I was supposed to partake of this sale. Really, who am I to question the universe?

Here are my picks, along with the pattern that will be used:

Silk Pique Panel Print - Butterick 4856

Silk Pique Poppies - Vogue 2960

Floral Silk Shantung - Vogue 1043

German Print - Simplicity 5036 - the full skirted dress

PVC Coated Linen - Vogue 8480

Warm Toned Wool Challis - Vogue 2786

WOW, cool buys! I'd love to pick your brain sometime and learn how to sew adult clothes well since all I make is childrens' clothes.

Yeap - you are my fabric twin separated at birth! *LOL* I just want you to know that I was placing an order at 12:01am when Melody was changing the prices on the website!!!! I wanted all three of the silk pieces but decided that I wouldn't look that great in the silk poppies. However, I did buy some of the other two! And when I tracked the UPS package it said that it would be here on Tuesday!!! Great prices, great customer service and fast shipping! Gotta love it!

Omigosh, I love that Sybil Connolly dress pattern. Very Oscar de la Renta-looking. Can't wait to see that one made up.

The silk poppies is very pretty! And the linen is interesting, I need to go check that out. (Great pattern choices too, btw)

I've already made a dress in the German print. It was a little heavier than I expected and has a lovely sheen with just the right amount of stretch. It should sit really beautifully for the dress pattern you've chosen. I teamed it with a chocolate brown belt and even made a matching clutch purse to wear to a wedding. Can't wait to see your dress.

Wow, these are so inspiring to see so perfectly matched up. And I honestly can't choose a favorite.

And the yellow dupioni dress--gasp worthy.

I also have Simplicity 5036. When you get to it, you'll post pics, right? :D

Also, I have admired those two vintage vogue patterns, but I've bought so many patterns on eBay lately that I feel guilty buying any more!
